Entertaining toddlers can be a full-time job. You only need to spend three days at home with your toddlers to realise how quickly boredom sets in. Along with getting work done at home, parents also need to start thinking of really cool ways to keep their children entertained. The key to keeping children, especially toddlers, happy and busy is to keep things interesting.

But, don’t worry; we’ve got your covered. In this article, we will share two really fun ways for entertaining toddlers. As a bonus, they’ll also learn a thing or two in the process.

Fizzing Fun

These super cool fizz blocks are a great way for entertaining toddlers while showing them a little science. Remember the bicarbonate of soda and vinegar volcanoes? Well, this is a smaller version if that experiment.

You’ll Need:

  • An Ice Tray
  • 1 cup of bicarbonate of soda
  • A quarter cup of water
  • Food colouring
  • 1 teaspoon on gelatine
  • Vinegar

Method:

To start, add the Gelatine to the bicarbonate of soda. Next, add food colouring to the water. Now, add the water to the Gelatine mix and combine. Then, pour the mix into your ice tray and let it set in the freezer overnight.  To get the experiment started, empty the ice tray and place the solid blocks in a bowl. Pout over the vinegar and watch the magic happen.

Fluffy Paints

Toddlers love colours and they love painting too. The messier, the better, for these little minds. Painting is a great way for entertaining toddlers while at the same time practicing motor skills development. Here’s everything you need to make cool fluffy paint for the little ones.

You’ll Need:

  • Different Food colouring
  • Wood Glue
  • Shaving Foam

Method:

Mix together one cup of wood glue and one cup of shaving foam and make sure that it is mixed well. Share the mixture between different containers and add food colouring to each one. Mix together thoroughly. Set out paper and brushes and let the little ones go wild. A pro tip for this would be to give the littlies canvases which they can paint for homemade gifts.
